A workaholic running a family holding company, he enjoys suba diving, deep sea fishing and mountain biking. Laith’s short but illustrious career in Class 1 reads like a one-man hall of fame! After seeing a race in St Tropez in ’94 he took up racing, firstly in the USA, moving onto the world scene in 97. He won the Class 1 World and European Championship in ’97, the Pole Position Trophy in ’98, has 4 Grands Prix wins, 4 podium positions and 7 Pole wins to his name. On the US circuit he won the National and SBR World Championship in ’96, was inducted into the APBA Hall of Champions, voted Rookie and Driver of the year in ‘95/’96 and holds a record for the most consecutive race wins of 10 on the US circuit.

President of IOTA (International Offshore Team Association), the flamboyant Edoardo Polli will be hoping that 13 is his lucky number and win the one title that has so far eluded him - the Class 1 crown. He made his Class 1 racing debut in ’86 in the Cowes – Torquay – Cowes, won the Italian Championship in ‘96, the Pole Position Trophy in ’96 and ’98 and finished third and second in the World Championship in ’96 and ’97. He has won 5 Grands prix, 12 Pole Positions and has appeared on the podium 14 times.
