 Born 8.9.1968, Age 30 Single Motorboat racing debut: 1995 A workaholic running a family holding company, he enjoys suba diving, deep sea fishing and mountain biking. Laith’s short but illustrious career in Class 1 reads like a one-man hall of fame! After seeing a race in St Tropez in ’94 he took up racing, firstly in the USA, moving onto the world scene in 97. He won the Class 1 World and European Championship in ’97, the Pole Position Trophy in ’98, has 4 Grands Prix wins, 4 podium positions and 7 Pole wins to his name. On the US circuit he won the National and SBR World Championship in ’96, was inducted into the APBA Hall of Champions, voted Rookie and Driver of the year in ‘95/’96 and holds a record for the most consecutive race wins of 10 on the US circuit.
